Good condition, rare to find Volcanic Lever Action No.1 brass framed Pocket pistol s/n 1401, manufactured by the New Haven Arms Co. of New Haven, Connecticut, with 3 ½ inch barrel in .31 calibre. Only about 850 of this model were manufactured between 1857 to 1862. The pistol has the distinctive 3 ½ inch octagonal barrel with integral six-shot magazine, with round finger hole in the lever.
