Very fine Winchester Third Model 1873 lever action rifle s/n 253553B, manufactured in 1887 and chambered in 32-20 WCF calibre (Section One calibre in UK). It has a 24 inch octagonal barrel, with full magazine tube. The varnished stock and forearm are made from plain straight grain walnut, with a rifle style crescent butt-plate. Blue finish to barrel and frame, with case-coloured lever, forearm cap, hammer and butt-plate.
This attractive looking “73”, is in very fine condition, with approx. 80% plus blue original remaining. The bore is very good 8/10 bright, with good rifling. The action is tight and crisp.
