Very fine Winchester Model 1886 lever action rifle s/n 123356, with case-coloured receiver, manufactured in 1901 and chambered in obsolete 40-82 WCF calibre. It has a 26 inch octagonal barrel, with full magazine tube. The stock and forearm are made from straight grain walnut, reddish in colour, with a rifle style crescent butt-plate. Blue finish to barrel and magazine tube, with case-hardened frame, lever, forearm cap, hammer and butt-plate.
It has an elevator adjustable sporting rear sight with screw for adjustments and a brass bladed fixed front sight.
This very attractive looking “86”, is in every fine condition, with strong original blue finish to the barrel and magazine tube with strong original case colours to the receiver. The bore is bright 9/10, with good rifling. The action is tight and crisp.
