Fine to excellent Winchester Model 1885 High Wall, single shot rifle s/n 63850, manufactured circa 1893 in obsolete 40/82 WCF calibre.

This rifle has an 30 inch octagonal to round, number 3 weight barrel. Blue finish to barrel, with case coloured frame, lever and butt-plate. Nicely figured straight grain walnut forend and stock, with crescent butt-plate. Semi-buckhorn type rear sight with elevator and fixed blade front sight.

This attractive looking “85”, is in fine to excellent condition, with more than 90% original blue finish to the barrel and 65% plus case colours to the receiver, lever and butt-plate. The bore is 9/10 plus bright, with good rifling. The action is tight and crisp.
