Winchester Model 1876 lever action rifle s/n 56,500 manufactured in 1885 and chambered in obsolete 45-75 WCF calibre. It has a 28 inch round barrel, with full magazine tube. The stock and forearm are made from plain straight grain walnut, with a rifle style crescent butt-plate. Blue finish to barrel, with case-hardened frame, lever, forearm cap, hammer and butt-plate.
This attractive looking “76”, is in good condition, with the metal a mixture of blue/grey patina. The bore is very good 8/10 bright, with good rifling. The action is tight and crisp.
