Section one firearm in the UK. Excellent and in near mint condition, engraved and gold inlaid, Winchester 1892 “High Grade” rifle s/n NTH153624, in .45 Colt calibre, with 24¼ inch round barrel and full magazine. Manufactured by Winchester/Miroku in the 1990s. Only about one thousand examples of this model were manufactured.
The chequered stock and forearm are made from beautiful highly figured fancy walnut and the engraved stock has a crescent butt plate. The right side of the receiver is engraved with an oak leaf motif with a gold Pronghorn antelope and gold inlay borders. Similarly, the left side shows a gold Whitetail deer buck and doe with similar oak leaf engraving and gold border inlays. The barrel has a buckhorn rear sight paired with a blade/bead dovetailed front sight. This fancy rifle has a top-mounted tang safety mechanism.
These rifles are hard to find. It has a great action and is in great working order, with 10/10 bright bore.
