Rare, American Civil War period, civilian Savage Revolving Fire-Arms Co. Navy Model percussion revolver serial number 519, manufactured circa 1861-1865 in .36 calibre. It has a 7 1/8 inch octagonal barrel, hinged type loading lever assembly, flat sides frames and fitted with a heart shaped trigger / lever guard. Two-piece walnut grips numbered 519, to the gun. Blued finish, with casehardened hammer and lever, trigger-guard and triggers. Total quantity manufactured about 20,000. This rare six shot percussion revolver, with fairly low serial number, was probably manufactured circa 1861, first year of production. It is in fine condition, retaining some original finish. Good action and working condition.
