Very fine Savage Model 1899 Lever Action rifle s/n 122215, with 22 inch round barrel, chambered in obsolete 32-40 calibre. Made by the Savage Repeating Arms Company, Utica, New York. This was an improved model of the Model 1895.
Overall in very fine to excellent condition with most original blue to the barrel and receiver and traces of case colours in protected areas. The bore is close 9 plus /10 bright bore with good rifling and the action is great and in full working order.
