Near mint, possible unfired martially inspected Rogers & Spencer .44 Army percussion revolver s/n 650 manufactured circa 1865, towards the end of the Civil War. Total production, only 5,000.
Blued finish with case-coloured hammer and loading lever. Six shot percussion revolver with 7 ½ inch octagonal barrel, solid frame, with hinged type loading lever. The top of the frame is marked “ROGERS & SPENCER / UTICA. N.Y.” Two-piece walnut flared grips, with Government inspector “RPB” stamped on the left side.
Condition is as new with bright 10/10 bore and virtually all its original finish. The action is perfect and in good working order. One of the best examples that I have seen over the last forty five years.
