Near mint, special order, Marlin Model 1893 short magazine, lever action rifle s/n 330802, with half round / half octagonal 26 inch barrel, in obsolete 32/40 calibre. Case-hardened receiver, hammer, lever and butt- plate, blued barrel and short magazine tube, with varnished walnut stocks. Barrel markings; “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT, U.S.A. / PATENTED OCT. 11. 1887. APRIL 2. 1889. AUG. 1. 1893” with “SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL.” Markings on the left side face towards the breech end of the barrel. The calibre marking “32-40” is stamped on the top flat at the breech end. “MODEL / 1893” is stamped on the top tang, to the rear of the hammer. “MARLIN SAFETY” marked on the top flat of the receiver. The serial number is stamped under the receiver in a forward position. It is also fitted with a “Lyman’s Pat. June 25.95”.

Overall in excellent to near mint condition, with most of its original blue and case colours. The action is tight and the rifle is in good working order. 10/10 bright bore.
