Ultra rare, right-handed military-style, japanned black leather flap holster, made by Colt, for the Colt Model 1860 London Army percussion revolver. The indecipherable name of the owner is written inside the holster. The closure strap is stitched to the underside of the holster and locks the holster, by the finial on the flap. It has a form fitting body with sewn-in toe plug. It was designed by Charles Frederick Dennet (Samuel Colt’s agent) and George Pays of Oxford. Very fine to excellent condition with some deterioration to the closure strap.
