“J. Barlow Patent” bag-type flask for Colt London Dragoon percussion revolvers with graduations of ¾, 7/8, 1. The top and the collar are lacquered and attached to the body at the scribe line with three steel screws. One screw is missing. The body has a red/brown lacquer finish. There is no lanyard ring.
This is an early London flask, typically used with Colt Second and Third Model Dragoons. Barlow was an early supplier for the Colt factory in London. It retains much of its original red/brown lacquer with several dents. Hard to find London Dragoon flask.
