Excellent, beautifully factory engraved, Remington Over & Under Double Deringer, Type II (Model 3) serial number 906, with one-line barrel address and extractor and complimented with two-piece mother of pearl grips. It features broad scroll engraving on both sides of the top barrel at the breech and on both sides of the frame. The back strap is also engraved.

Nickel plated, blued hammer, extractor and screws with two-piece Mother of Pearl grips. It is numbered “906” on the barrel and also matching number on the frame, under the grips. This Type II, has the one-line barrel address reading: ‘REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y’. It was manufactured circa 1888-1911, in obsolete .41 rimfire calibre.

There were only 80,000 of this model produced and only a few hundred would have been engraved in the factory workshop. Designed by William Elliot, the Remington Over & Under derringer is one of the most popular American derringers for collectors wrldwide.  

Excellent condition with crisp engraving throughout. Most nickel remaining, with minor handling marks. Strong blue to hammer, extractor and screws. The pearl grips are also in excellent condition. Perfect hinges. Good working order and mechanically excellent. Good 9/10 plus bright bore with strong rifling. An excellent example of this hard to find, one-line address Remington Double derringer.
