Sold. First year of production, fully plated, Colt Cloverleaf Model .41 rimfire calibre revolver serial number 3564, manufactured circa 1871, with four shot type cylinder, with 2½ inch round barrel and two-piece nicely figured walnut birds-head grips.

Its two-line address reads from muzzle to breech ‘COLTS HOUSE PISTOL / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.’, with Maltese crosses at each end.

Overall in very fine original condition with most of its original plated finish remaining. The two piece nicely figured varnished walnut grips are in excellent condition, retaining 95% plus of their original varnish. Screws are excellent, bore is very good 9/10 and the action is crisp and tight.

Overall a great example of Colt’s first production solid frame revolver chambered for a metallic cartridge and also first year of production of that model.
