Cased, relief engraved, silver-plated six shot pinfire revolver s/n 20813, manufactured by Eugene Lefaucheux around the mid-1850’s to early-1860’s in France. It has a 6 1/8 inch round barrel, with ejector rod and chambered in obsolete 11mm calibre. It features a post front sight on a high base, with “E. Lefaucheux a Paris” engraved on the top of the barrel and relief scroll and floral designs throughout, hammer groove rear sight, the “LF” trademark is on the right side of the frame behind the serial number. Complimented with two-piece walnut stocks and lanyard ring on the butt. The owners name “L.V. Snedrxx” is soldered on a silver-plated base under the barrel. Cased in a London style case with carry handle on the lid. Accessories include a cleaning rod, oil bottle, key and wooden handled screwdriver.
Very fine overall with 85% period silver, aged patina, grey patina and some pitting on the balance, and various marks and scratches. The grips have some very mild scratches and dings and patches of varnish remaining. Mechanically fine and in good working order.
