Excellent Pall Mall Agency cased British proofed six-shot Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver s/n 296806L, with six-inch barrel, manufactured circa 1867. The barrel address reads: “ADDRESS COL SAML COLTNEW-YORK US, AMERICA”. This London Agency Pocket is in excellent original condition retaining approximately 90% plus original blue to the barrel, cylinder, iron grip-straps and large iron trigger-guard. The frame, loading lever and hammer retain 90% plus strong case colours. The one-piece walnut grips retain 95% plus of their original varnish. The cylinder scene is 99% and all six cylinder pins remain intact. The screw heads are excellent and the action is in good working order.
Cased in its original Colt, 14 Pall Mall Agency case with excellent accessories including: “JAMES DIXON / & SONS / SHEFFIELD” bag type flask marked “COLTS POCKET FLASK”, in near mint condition, a large Eley Bros 500 count cap tin with green label, excellent ‘COLT’S PATENT’ .31 calibre mould stamped “31Pkt”for casting a round and conical shaped lead bullet, iron cleaning rod, pewter oil bottle by ‘JAMES DIXON / & SONS / SHEFFIELD’, nipple key and a loose lead conical and round balls. Also including original working key. All accessories are in excellent condition.
Overall, an excellent Pall Mall Agency cased British proofed Colt Model 1849 London Pocket, manufactured at Colt’s manufactory in Hartford and shipped to London, with rare and desirable six inch barrel in 1867.
