Sold: Early original case in fine condition, for a British proofed, Colt Model 1851 Navy percussion revolver, with 7 ½ inch barrel. Lined in dark blue velveteen, with “DIRECTIONS FOR LOADING COLT PISTOLS” original label in the lid. The case with lidded compartment in the top right- hand corner is partitioned with compartments for all accessories. The compartment in the top right hand side has been adapted to fit a cleaning rod.
Manufactured circa 1853. It measures 15 x 6¾ x 2¼ inches.
