Sold: Superior American double-sided flask, decorated with a prominent Cannon, shield and a drape of Flags. Above the flags is stamped “COLTS / PATENT”. The crossed pistols and rifles are above this stamping. Made for the second and early third model Colt Model 1851, Navy percussion revolvers by Dixon & Sons, Sheffield.

The body has a brown lacquer finish, with the top being secured to the body with three steel screws. The spring is blued. Measurements: 5 3/8 x 2 7/8 inches. Very fine condition. Rapley F#30
